Earlier this week I was telling you about how we like to give back to the school with the Box Tops
program. I also went shopping in order to collect a few items for a special snack for lunch boxes and after school. I was able to find several General Mills® items that qualified for Bonus Box Tops which was a win/win! Each box will give Graham’s school 5 Box Tops points total. Each one gives his school $.10 which means $.50 per box! Woot!
Because Graham’s school is peanut free, I have to come up with creative ideas sometimes. He really loves trail mix, but a lot of times you find it with some type of nut included. So, this simple cereal trail mix recipe is a great way to have color, fun and yum in the lunch box. I know he has to get tired of the same old boring things! So, grab your favorite General Mills® cereals, a big bowl and don’t forget to clip the Box Tops!
SIMPLE CEREAL TRAIL MIX
Ingredients:
- 3 cups Lucky Charms Cereal
- 3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
- 3 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- 3 cups Mini Trix
Preparation:
Simple mix all of the cereals together in a large bowl. I divide it into small plastic bags so that they are ready to go each day for school or to grab after school.
